Electrical Safety is a paramount issue. Radical changes have been made in recent years because of the NFPA's Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace.  These changes have been positive because injuries and deaths have been significantly reduced.  Yet, there are those in our industry that are still unaware of the positive implications these changes have brought.

Therefore, Grace Engineered Products is interested in identifying the best article about companies and/or individuals who have incorporated either devices or procedures to ensure employee safety while increasing productivity.   Writers, publishers, readers, editors and the like are encouraged to submit previously published or to-be punished articles for consideration of this highly prestigious award.

 The Excellence in Journalism – Reaching for Electrical Safety Award Committee request that all submissions adhere to the following requirements:

• All articles must be submitted electronically to Grace Engineered Products to the attention of Brandi S. Borgstadt at brandib@grace-eng.com
• “Excellence in Journalism: Reaching for Electrical Safety” must be in the subject line
• All articles should be received no later than Midnight CST, November 1, 2008
• Articles may be submitted by anyone
• All articles submitted must be published or slated to be published by June, 2009

 The articles will be forwarded to an independent team of industry experts to determine the winner.  The winning article will be announced at a live press conference in Nashville, TN, November 20, 2008.  Semi-finalists will be notified no later than November 10, 2008.  Any questions can be directed to Brandi S.
